First 1100 characters of The Effects of Financial Problems on the French Revolution

The French Revolution, which broke out in 1787, was perhaps the most violent upheaval in the western world due to the extensive participation of peasants and common people, not only the aristocracy. Even thought in other parts of Europe revolutionist movements were taking place, they were usually between aristocratic rulers and other privileged groups. Regarding the causes of the French Revolution, several versions are proposed and debated. Some versions say that the causes were basically social and economical; while others say it was the rise of one particular class, the bourgeoisie. Therefore in order to attain a final answer it is necessary to study and analyze what really happened, thus approaching a fair assessment of the causes of the French Revolution.

How the North Won the Civil War

A vicious Civil War broke out in 1861 that almost led to the division of the Union of the United States of America. However, the North succeeded in winning the war and bringing the South back to the country. The Union had many strong advantages. Due to military, economic, and political reasons, the North succeeded in winning the Civil War. First, Jefferson Davis was being criticized by many members of the Confederate Congress and even lacked support from his cabinet. Southern states also insisted on having strong state governments. These challenges to Davis made it difficult to conduct the war with his authority weakened. Lincoln, on the other hand, did have problems of his own, but managed to keep the war effort strong. He was opposed by most of his cabinet, but was the commander-in-chief of the Union army, therefore having control unlike Jefferson Davis. He also passed the Emancipation Proclamation, setting African Americans free in the Union, which pressured the Confederacy if the North won. The South would have to give up their slaves if they were to be defeated. This also allowed African Americans to join the Union army. This helped increase troops. Both sides of the war started a draft; the South however did not get a strong response because people could buy their way out of the draft. The North?s ranks filled up rapidly, helping the war effort. These political differences and

How Lying Backfires

There are many different ways a lie can backfire. First of all if you tell a lie you usually have to tell another lie to cover the first one up. For example, if you tell your parents you cleaned your room and you didn?t really. They may ask you where your dirty clothes are and then you will have to tell another lie to cover it up. That is never a good way to go. Another way a lie can backfire is you will feel bad. Everyone may not feel bad but if you are a Christian with a conscience you should. The Holy Spirit will move in your heart and make you feel guilty. There?s no point in lying if you?re gonna feel so guilty you don?t even want to do anything. Last but CERTAINLY not least, you might get caught. What is the point in lying if you are gonna get caught and get in trouble? There is not a point! It is comletly pointless to lie if you are gonna get caught and get in trouble! In summary, don?t lie because it is wrong and it will probably backfire on you.

I Enjoy Chemical Engineering

You can get very frightened when you are stepping into a field which is unfamiliar, especially if that field has a reputation as the most challenging major. To me, switching my major from mechanical engineering to chemical engineering at Clarkson University was a difficult long-thought-out decision. It was a result of 18 months of reflection and discussion with faculty. Now, I so enjoy my chemical engineering courses that I plan to continue my education in this field. The controversy that pushed me over the edge of fear of changing my major was the air pollution problem caused by our transportation. I have always been in love with cars and motorcycles, so I want to work on the electrical vehicle (EV) to fight this environmental problem

Training Program for Tennis

The aim of my training programme is to improve my cardiovascular endurance for tennis. I have no medical or health problems at the moment. By doing this training programme I could improve my fitness level. My fitness level at the moment could be improved. By improving my fitness level I can improve in all sports. Normally during a week I will play on average about 6 or 7 hours of various sports. These sports consist of football, tennis and badminton. If I am to improve my game I will work on aerobic training. Aerobic training involves long distance running and cardiovascular endurance. I will be working on my stamina also so I will be doing a lot of aerobic training. This will involve working on my stamina level so I can last longer and keep up the level of my game in a match of tennis. At this moment in time I don't think I have to work on my speed in getting to the ball because I think I am at a sufficient level in which I need to be. Cardiovascular endurance is improving the ability of your heart and lungs to supply adequate oxygen to working muscles during prolonged activity.

Northern Ireland Study

None of the sources provide direct evidence relating to the time of The Troubles but do give us enough evidence (though biased) to determine why they broke out that year. Source D ("A Roman Catholic describes her school days") gives us an insight into the views of Catholic children at a sectarian school. The source is written by Bernadette Devlin, a well known Republican activist in the 1960's. The source describing her views is clearly biased to the Irish Nationalist cause. She specifically states that she did not hate Protestants, but did despise the British, partly because her family had suffered at the hands of British forces. Bernadette Devlin organised many Civil Rights marches in the late 1960's and is partly responsible for The Troubles breaking out.

Hot Dogs
In America, there has a competition for Hot Dogs, and the winner has to eat as much as possible hot dogs in times.
In thisicture we see this young man, who is the winner in competition. There are lots of hot dogs in plate, and a man beside him to count how many hot dogs he has ate. Apparently, he had eaten 49 hot dogs, and keeping increase. This man drink cola for accelerating abet deglutition.
The grand competition in America has hold every years, we can see this is so livelily in picture, his previous record was 53 1/2 hot dogs at the same competition two years ago. The competition was held on Coney Island. His strongest competition was Joey Chestnut who set an American record by eating 50 hot dogs during a qualifying tournament in Las Vegas. Chestnut came in a near 52 hotdogs.

Components Of Law

In class, we broke components of law up into four categories. System of social norms on which laws are based, a group empowered to enforce the laws, a legitimate system of enforcement, and a system for interpreting the law. Throughout this essay I?ll divide up these categories, and give examples of each of them. A system of social norms on which laws are based, generally determine what is good or bad in a society. Legalization of alcohol consumption makes it moral to consume alcoholic beverages, but stores that sell have guidelines to sell the legal beverage. But the illegalization of prostitution, however, is immoral. No one should have to sell their body for money in our society. Law enforcement is a group empowered to enforce the laws. Some laws are unenforced, such as traffic and jay walking laws. There is also a legitimate system of enforcement, that lets a body that has seen a legitimate act to carry out the law. An example is a police officer acting on an observed robbery.

i still love u

This letter is long overdue. So much has happened in these past few weeks. All the arguments and everything seem as if they're happening because time runs flies by us and we don't have time with each other due to work and hectic schedules. I wanted to tell you that no matter what has happened in the past, I still love you with my whole heart, and I know that these misunderstandings don't mean anything more than just arguing. You seem to think that I don't love you anymore and I know I haven't been showing it that much. However, from this day on, I'm going to try harder to be a better person, and not be so adamant about everything, because last night I realized that you are the most important person in my life and that if I continue like this, I may just lose the love we share. Anyways, with much love, trust and with confidence to become a better person from now onwards, I love you!

My Senior High School

My senior high school, the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University, located across the American Institution in Taiwan and near the Da-an Forest Park, is a place filled with joy and laughter and wonder. Before entering the school, you can see a large and impressive front gate, on which our school name is inscribed. The buildings in school are very well-organized in distinctive patterns. Turning left, you can see a magnificent building, our gymnasium, where people cheerfully play basketball and badminton. Just near the gym stands a row of teachers’ offices, a historic building just like the Red House in Jianguo High School. On the right-hand side of the school are two lines of royal palms. It is terrific to immerge yourself sitting there to enjoy the breeze softly sweeping over your face and to listen to birds twittering. And then, if you walk straight forward while entering the front gate, you can see two fiery phoenixes made of tile making threatening gestures, which are the symbol of our school, representing freedom, wild imagination and creative thinking. At the back of our school is the sports field, which is one of the largest you can find in Taipei. Students are used to playing baseball, football or doing any exercises in this sports field; most of our celebrations also take place in this huge playground. Finally, the very scene you may frequently notice is that after school, you can always see passionate students playing guitar loudly, and dancing in a fever, trying to get rid of bad emotions and pressure. A school really worthy of a visit, every time I walk out, I know what it feels like to live in a paradise.

My Dormitory Room

My dormitory room, which is on the second floor of Bienville Hall, is very neat and tidy. Though not very big, the bright white ceiling and light green walls make the rectangular room seems larger than it appears to be. As you step into the room, with the furniture well organized, you feel quite at ease as if you are in a nice flat rather than in a dormitory. Straight ahead you can see two large windows with the glistening lambrequins flowing, and under the gleaming curtains settled my bed, decorated with some stuffed toys. On the left hand side against the wall is a large bookcase filled with books and papers alphabetically. Near the door you can find my desk and chair made of wood sitting next to the bookcase, and there are several of my favorite singers’ posters hanged on the wall above the desk.

love

In society today, when someone mentions the word “Love” and are referring to love between two of no relation, it is guaranteed that at least half the people surrounding you will shudder. Whether it be through observation or experience, people have come to learn that Love is far from being the ideal state in which one should live in and, for that matter, many choose to stay away from it. It is known to break hearts, to hurt feelings and, believe it or not, it truly is not always happily ever after.

cold

I had meant to spend my weekends in Taipei as usual,
but dismissed the idea after realizing how freezing cold it was outside. I guess I will simply stay in my cozy little place for the weekend after all. Instead of trudging all the way to Taipei in such chilling weather, I'm sure I'd be a lot better off snugging up in bed with an English novel or surfing either the internet or the channels with the heator on.

a view og myself

I must confess, in retrospect, that I have never put myself out to attain the goals I had set for myself. Whatever achievement-if any-I have now, I have probably come by it with some stroke of luck. I seem to live by the credence that whether I will succeed in what I aim at is far more on the lap of the gods than a likely product of perseverance and exertion on my part. On the other hand, this may be a sham, a pretence for my inertia, passivity. The truth of the matter is, I lack the single-minded drive to work hard, to succeed. Here a question crops up, though. How do you define success? Is it the acquisition of fame, wealth and power, or is it to be able to live one's life as one wishes it, whatever that is?

firends

i come across this somewhere and think its pretty cool

A friend is someone true and for real,
A friend is someone who means a great deal.
A friend won't hurt you,
A friend won't lie,
A friend will never permanantly say good-bye.
A friend is there through the good times and bad,
A friend is there to cheer you up when your sad.
A friend is always there with a shoulder to cry on,
A friend is always there that you can rely on.
So, friend if you ever need someone honest and true,
Just remember ill always be here for you .
