First 1100 characters of The Effects of Financial Problems on the French Revolution

The French Revolution, which broke out in 1787, was perhaps the most violent upheaval in the western world due to the extensive participation of peasants and common people, not only the aristocracy. Even thought in other parts of Europe revolutionist movements were taking place, they were usually between aristocratic rulers and other privileged groups. Regarding the causes of the French Revolution, several versions are proposed and debated. Some versions say that the causes were basically social and economical; while others say it was the rise of one particular class, the bourgeoisie. Therefore in order to attain a final answer it is necessary to study and analyze what really happened, thus approaching a fair assessment of the causes of the French Revolution.

How the North Won the Civil War

A vicious Civil War broke out in 1861 that almost led to the division of the Union of the United States of America. However, the North succeeded in winning the war and bringing the South back to the country. The Union had many strong advantages. Due to military, economic, and political reasons, the North succeeded in winning the Civil War. First, Jefferson Davis was being criticized by many members of the Confederate Congress and even lacked support from his cabinet. Southern states also insisted on having strong state governments. These challenges to Davis made it difficult to conduct the war with his authority weakened. Lincoln, on the other hand, did have problems of his own, but managed to keep the war effort strong. He was opposed by most of his cabinet, but was the commander-in-chief of the Union army, therefore having control unlike Jefferson Davis. He also passed the Emancipation Proclamation, setting African Americans free in the Union, which pressured the Confederacy if the North won. The South would have to give up their slaves if they were to be defeated. This also allowed African Americans to join the Union army. This helped increase troops. Both sides of the war started a draft; the South however did not get a strong response because people could buy their way out of the draft. The North?s ranks filled up rapidly, helping the war effort. These political differences and

How Lying Backfires

There are many different ways a lie can backfire. First of all if you tell a lie you usually have to tell another lie to cover the first one up. For example, if you tell your parents you cleaned your room and you didn?t really. They may ask you where your dirty clothes are and then you will have to tell another lie to cover it up. That is never a good way to go. Another way a lie can backfire is you will feel bad. Everyone may not feel bad but if you are a Christian with a conscience you should. The Holy Spirit will move in your heart and make you feel guilty. There?s no point in lying if you?re gonna feel so guilty you don?t even want to do anything. Last but CERTAINLY not least, you might get caught. What is the point in lying if you are gonna get caught and get in trouble? There is not a point! It is comletly pointless to lie if you are gonna get caught and get in trouble! In summary, don?t lie because it is wrong and it will probably backfire on you.

I Enjoy Chemical Engineering

You can get very frightened when you are stepping into a field which is unfamiliar, especially if that field has a reputation as the most challenging major. To me, switching my major from mechanical engineering to chemical engineering at Clarkson University was a difficult long-thought-out decision. It was a result of 18 months of reflection and discussion with faculty. Now, I so enjoy my chemical engineering courses that I plan to continue my education in this field. The controversy that pushed me over the edge of fear of changing my major was the air pollution problem caused by our transportation. I have always been in love with cars and motorcycles, so I want to work on the electrical vehicle (EV) to fight this environmental problem

Training Program for Tennis

The aim of my training programme is to improve my cardiovascular endurance for tennis. I have no medical or health problems at the moment. By doing this training programme I could improve my fitness level. My fitness level at the moment could be improved. By improving my fitness level I can improve in all sports. Normally during a week I will play on average about 6 or 7 hours of various sports. These sports consist of football, tennis and badminton. If I am to improve my game I will work on aerobic training. Aerobic training involves long distance running and cardiovascular endurance. I will be working on my stamina also so I will be doing a lot of aerobic training. This will involve working on my stamina level so I can last longer and keep up the level of my game in a match of tennis. At this moment in time I don't think I have to work on my speed in getting to the ball because I think I am at a sufficient level in which I need to be. Cardiovascular endurance is improving the ability of your heart and lungs to supply adequate oxygen to working muscles during prolonged activity.

Northern Ireland Study

None of the sources provide direct evidence relating to the time of The Troubles but do give us enough evidence (though biased) to determine why they broke out that year. Source D ("A Roman Catholic describes her school days") gives us an insight into the views of Catholic children at a sectarian school. The source is written by Bernadette Devlin, a well known Republican activist in the 1960's. The source describing her views is clearly biased to the Irish Nationalist cause. She specifically states that she did not hate Protestants, but did despise the British, partly because her family had suffered at the hands of British forces. Bernadette Devlin organised many Civil Rights marches in the late 1960's and is partly responsible for The Troubles breaking out.
